Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 6, 2026

This policy explains what personal information BookZefy collects, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

Who we are

BookZefy (“BookZefy”, “we”, “us”) provides online booking software for freelancers and independent professionals (“Pros”), including deposit collection, reminders and a personal booking page. This policy covers our website at bookzefy.co and the BookZefy service.

The service is being rolled out in stages. The demo on our website is a simulation that does not send your entries anywhere. The sections below describe how the live service handles information as accounts open.

Information we collect

  • Pro account information: name, email, phone number, business name, services, prices, availability and your booking page content.
  • Client booking information: when someone books with a Pro, we collect their name, email, phone number, the service and time booked, and any note they choose to add.
  • Payment information: deposits and subscription payments are processed by Stripe. Card details go directly to Stripe. We do not see or store full card numbers; we receive limited details such as payment status, amount and the last four digits.
  • Usage and device data: basic technical data such as IP address, browser type and pages visited, used to keep the service secure and working.
  • Messages: records of reminders and confirmations we send on behalf of Pros.

How we use information

  • To create booking pages, take bookings and collect deposits.
  • To send confirmations and reminders by email and, where available and permitted, text message.
  • To bill Pros for their plan and prevent fraud and abuse.
  • To provide support and improve the service.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

Pros and their clients

When a client books with a Pro, the Pro decides why and how that client’s information is used for their business, and BookZefy handles it on the Pro’s behalf to run the booking service. Clients who want to see, correct or delete their booking information should contact the Pro they booked with; they may also contact us and we will help.

Who we share information with

We share information only with service providers that help us run BookZefy, under agreements that limit what they can do with it, for example:

  • Stripe, for payment processing and payouts to Pros.
  • Hosting and database providers, to run the service.
  • Email and text-message providers, to deliver reminders.

We also share information when required by law, to protect rights and safety, or in a business transfer such as a merger, with notice to you.

Text messages

Where text reminders are offered, they are sent only about bookings the recipient has made. Message and data rates may apply. Recipients can reply STOP at any time to opt out.

Cookies

We use only the cookies and similar technologies needed to keep you signed in and the service secure. We do not use advertising cookies.

How long we keep information

We keep information for as long as an account is active and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes and meet legal and tax requirements. When a Pro closes their account, we delete or anonymize their data within a reasonable period, except what we must keep by law.

Your California privacy rights

If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and shared, to request a copy, to request correction or deletion, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information (we do neither), and not to be treated unfairly for using these rights. To make a request, email support@bookzefy.co. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information, including encryption in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

BookZefy is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the new version here with a new “last updated” date, and notify account holders of material changes.
